Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Our Website uses essential cookies that are necessary for the Website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems; and analytics cookies (including Google Analytics, provided by Google) that help us understand how visitors use our Website. These are only set where you have given consent.
When you first visit our Website, you will be presented with a cookie banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings on the Website, and you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the Website may not work correctly as a result.
Google Analytics may transfer information to, and store it on, servers operated by Google. For information on how Google uses data, see Google's own privacy resources. We configure analytics to limit the data collected where practicable, including IP anonymisation.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, and with appropriate safeguards, with service providers who process data on our behalf, such as website hosting, email, and analytics providers, acting under contract and only on our instructions; professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, where necessary; regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are required to do so by law; and a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, reorganisation or sale of our business.
Some of our service providers (for example, analytics providers) may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, for example by relying on UK adequacy regulations or by putting in place the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You may contact us for more information about the safeguards in place.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is generally retained for up to 24 months and then deleted or anonymised. Data relating to clients and contracts is kept for the duration of the relationship and for a further period afterwards to meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. Analytics data is retained in line with the retention settings of our analytics tools.
Under the UK GDPR you have the following rights in relation to your personal data: the right to be informed about how we use your data; the right of access to a copy of the data we hold about you; the right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; the right to erasure in certain circumstances; the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances; the right to data portability in certain circumstances; the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time; and rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling (we do not carry out such processing).
Where our processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month, as required by law. Exercising your rights is free of charge in most cases.
We will only send you marketing communications where you have asked to receive them or where we are otherwise permitted to do so. Every marketing email includes an option to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time by contacting [email protected].
We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. No method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
